Nick Versteeg Receives the Sandy Sanderson "Media Person of the Year" Award

| November 3, 2003 - It was all smiles for Nick Versteeg, who was recognized by the BCRFA (British Columbia Restaurant and Foodservice Association) at their 25th Annual Gala Awards.
The event took place at the Sheraton Vancouver Wall Centre Hotel and was attended by approximately 800 people from the food and wine industry. Nominees were selected from around British Columbia, meeting the criteria of success, community involvement, educational development and enhancement of the food industry in general.
BCTV newscaster Jill Krop was the MC for the evening and attracted many laughs with her great sense of humor.
Among the recipients of the awards was Bruno Marti (La Belle Auberge in Ladner) who received the "Best Restaurateur of the Year" award while Rob Feenie received his award for "Best New Restaurant". John Furlong and Jack Poole received an award for their contribution bringing the 2010 Winter Olympics to BC. |

Nick Versteeg Receives Second James Beard Award

| May 5, 2003 - We are extremely happy to announce that Producer Nick Versteeg has won another James Beard Award in New York for the documentary "The World Pastry Cup" (2002), which Nick directed and produced for the Food Network in Canada and the USA.
The James Beard Awards ceremony, the Oscars of the food and beverage industry, was held in New York at the Marriott Marquis Hotel on Monday, May 5, 2003. The gala event was attended by approximately 1600 of the top industry leaders, including Jacques Pepin, Jacques Torres, and Daniel Boulud. |

| April 30, 2001 - We are extremely proud to announce that producer/ director Nick Versteeg of DV Cuisine (a division of DV Media Inc. Vancouver) received the prestigious James Beard Award at the Marriott Marquis Hotel in New York on April 30, 2001 for his production On the Road to the Bocuse d'Or.
More than 1600 people of the gastronomic world, including chefs, restaurant owners and stars in the culinary world, attended the big gala event. Actor-director Henry Winkler (best known as "The Fonz") and actor John Ritter were the Masters of Ceremonies. The James Beard Award is regarded an Oscar in the culinary world. On the Road to the Bocuse d'Or is part one of a two-part documentary produced for the US and Canadian Food Networks. |
