Culinary Team Building in Action:
The"Bocuse d'Earls"

Together with camera man Steve Sara and sound and video feed technician Brent Marchinski, producer Nick Versteeg directed a live show for the Earls Restaurant chain as a team building exercise.

The crew filmed eight competition segments each morning, edited the footage in record time, showing the resulting program as part of a live presentation that evening. It was a major challenge and was done at five of the chain's locations: Winnipeg, Calgary, Edmonton, Surrey and Vancouver.

The evening events included both stage and screen presentations with the finalists going head-to-head in an 'Iron Chef' style competition cook off that was also filmed. (The champion was rewarded with a trip to France for the prestigious Bocuse d'Or competition.)

Earls' team building exercise was a huge hit with the chain's young chefs and all participants received a keepsake Bocuse d'Earls highlights DVD.
