2nd James Beard Award
DV Cuisine in Vancouver, BC, is extremely
happy to announce that Vancouver producer
Nick Versteeg has won another James Beard
Award in New York for his documentary “The
World Pastry Cup”, produced and directed
by Nick Versteeg, written by Irene McGuinness
and produced for the Food Network in Canada
and the USA.
The James Beard Awards ceremony, the Oscars
of the food and beverage industry was held
in New York at the Marriott Marquis Hotel
on Monday, May 5, 2003. The gala event was
attended by approximately 1600 of the top
industry leaders, including Jacques Pepin,
Jacques Torres, and Daniel Boulud. Nick
Versteeg won his first James Beard award
in 2001 for his documentary “On the Road
to Bocuse d’Or”. DV Cuisine is even more
honoured since Nick Versteeg was also nominated
for the documentary “Master Chefs”. For

The James Beard Foundation Awards recipients
are selected by more than 600 food and beverage
industry professionals who vote by confidential
ballot in one or more award categories depending
